The Empress Theatre Foundation is proud to announce that Luc Laperrière is now part of the team to revitalize the theatre.
Mr. Laperrière was recently hired as a consultant to help lead the project, following a decision by the Executive Director, Élaine Éthier, who is now pursuing a position in municipal politics, running as a candidate for City Councillor for the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough in the November 2017 election.
An outstanding manager, Mr. Laperrière was responsible for bringing the Rialto, the Paradox Theatre and the Corona Theatre back to life and stimulating the local economy in each of those neighbourhoods. It is a great honour for the Foundation to have him on the team.
“Mr. Laperrière has incredible business acumen and his experience will be an amazing asset for the project. His local and international experience will enable us to manage this complex project with inclusion, flexibility and care,” says Kim Fuller, President of the Foundation.
His experience as a seasoned accountant and theatre director will be put to good use and the Foundation is confident that his management style will help bring this project to completion in the very near future.
